Siberian surf-rockers the Red River Elvises formed in Los Angeles in 1996; founded by singer/guitarist Igor Yuzov and singer/bassist Oleg Bernov -- Russian natives wHO antecedently teamed in the cult-favorite phratry dance grouping Limpopo -- the grouping later grew to include balalaika virtuoso Zhenya Kolykhanov and drummer Avi Beverly Sills (the solitary American-born member). Combining classic rock music with a slue of ethnic influences (and featuring lyrics sung dynasty dynasty in both English and Russian), the Redness Elvises quickly began merchandising extinct clubs throughout the L.A. domain, and in mid-1996 issued their debut LP Rifling to the Capital of the Russian Federation Pound; Surfriding in Siberia followed early on the next form, and the 1998 tone ending of I Wanna Experience You Belly Dance was accomapnied by a documentary around the stria produced for the cable network VH1. An visual aspect on the primetime soap Melrose Place preceded the 1999 release of the Red Elvises' one-quarter album, Russian Bellydance; Didder Your Renal pelvis and the live EP Your Favourite Band followed a year later on. Receive to the Junky Express and Sleeping room Boogie-woogie kicked things off for the stria at the induct of the new millennium, both issued in early on 2001.
